Vasisht village is located about 4km from Manali and is an important place since mythical times. Sage Vasishta who was the guru of Lord Rama was supposed to have resided in this village. The village is home to temples with deities of Sage Vasishta, Lord Rama and Lord Shiva, located next to each other. Also of interest is the sulphurous hot spring, a bath which is believed to cure skin diseases.
The temples are fine structures that represent the glorious Himachali architecture, with stone blocks and artistically carved wooded elements. The place also offers great views of the Himalayan mountains that surround it.
