About Manali

Manali is a hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh and is situated at a height of 2050m above sea level. River Beas originates nearby and flows through it. Surrounded by the snow covered Himalayan peaks, Manali acts as a base for many uphill climbs such as the Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley and Gulaba, where one can expect to experience the snow at close quarters. The Kullu Valley of which Manali is a part of, has many famous temples, monastries, deodar forests, waterfalls, etc. The scenic banks of the tumultuous river Beas offer rafting and other adventure possibilities. Manali is also pit stop on the way to other Himalayan destinations such as Leh, Spiti Valley etc.
