Telangana, India's newest state, was constituted in the year 2014 after a people's movement succeeded in gaining separation from Andhra Pradesh. Comprising of the erstwhile Nizam's kingdom, Telangana consists of historically important cities of Hyderabad and Warangal, with their renowned structures and monuments. The other parts of Telangana include important temple / religious towns such as Bhadrachalam, Yadagirigutta and Medak. Nagarjuna Sagar dam located in Nalgonda district of Telangana is said to be the world's largest masonry dam. Telangana also boasts of India's largest tiger reserve, and other biodiverse regions across the state.
