The War Memorial in Dharamsala was built to honour of the brave souls who laid down their lives in the wars of 1971 and in the much later Kargil war.
Comprising of landscaped gardens, models of warships, fighter planes and artillery, the place also includes inspiring monuments of stone sculptures, depicting the bravery of the soldier and the spirit of national freedom. There is also a large map of India on the ground, arranged with rocks and stones. In addition, there is a large statue of General Zorawar Singh - a brave 18th century commander who led many victorious campaigns and eventually lost his life in combat.
The garden includes very pretty flowers that are worth shooting. The place is dotted with pine trees and offers a cool retreat.
